The balloon is supposed to burst, the payload should have a descent parachute. It's a problem if the balloon doesn't burst and drifts into busy airspace.

Nope, that story is probably a fabrication. Plane was likely shot down during emergency landing. Huge fuckup by communist forces that was covered up.

It's bacteria decomposing the sweat causing the smell. Try anti bacterial soap in the armpits, washing t-shirts in 60+ °C hot water, drying on the line in sun, (exposure to UV will kill bacteria

Even appliances from the same factory going to different countries are vastly different in quality. Pretty much the same model too. There is a huge washing machine assembly operation inmy town, my friends work there, they warn anyone that would listen.

All kinds of things will grow on the water pipes, drains and containers. That's normal. I can take all of them out super easy on our old siemens washing machine, we're talking less then 15 minutes. Rinse, put them in a dishwasher, put back in 15. that smell is gone for a couple of years. Good luck doing this on a more recent washing machine. I wouldn't recommend leaving the door open. Some rubber parts don't like it if they are dry for too long.

on: Ask HN: I am 30yrs and never had a full time job, now suicidal. Any life advice?
Germany can be very depressing. Making and keeping friends that can keep you up, pretty much impossible. Screw jobs, take a vacation semester, go travel a bit, doesn't need to be expensive. You'll meet nice people, then finish your studies and look for a job with some positive attitude. I've been through this, believe me
