Sorry Ed, but the best preparation for any interview is not simply getting good at what you do. Being good at what you do is a given. But there is an art to interviewing. I have bombed interviews not because of a lack of ability, but because of my failure to understand interview dynamics.

Are you sure this is the reason? Our company uses Microsoft OS and office tools across the board. But when it comes to development most of our work is done in linux. A version of Visual Studio for Mac would make no difference.

Thanks for the post! The way I solved this problem in the past was to rotate one of my monitors 180 degrees. People always make comments when they walk into my cube for the first time, but you sure can fit a lot of txt on the screen. Maybe now I can go back to a normal orientation on my monitor.
