This.

I love Linux, but I also just want to be productive in my job. Gone are the days where I can spend hours happily compiling my own kernel to optimize the hell out of bootup time and slim it down. There's no single ready to use distro that has a somewhat modern feel to it (IMHO).

So I bit the bullet long ago, bought a Mac, made it feel as close as home as I could and I haven't spent a second trying to debug a random bug affecting my bluetooth, audio, graphics or wifi card since. The only thing I truly miss is i3wm.

That's not how reproduction works though. The unprivileged often have more kids and people on the corporate bandwagon tend to have fewer.

I'm not sure how you get to that conclusion. Data privacy laws are among the strongest in the world here. It is a selling point because of that, but also because there are laws against sending user data to non-EU countries.

I personally love the clicky sound of the Advantage 2. I switched to it some time last year after having RSI related symptoms. Since the keyboard required me to retrain muscle memory I also ended up switching to Dvorak (wrote about it at https://geekmonkey.org/learning-to-type-dvorak/).

It took a significant amount of time to get back up to speed, but some time last month it finally "clicked" and I couldn't be happier.

Definitely wish the keyboard was a bit more portable for travel, but for short stints I can stomach typing on a regular laptop keyboard.

As for the Kinesis 360: I recently saw it in use on a twitch stream (https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1422298932) and it looked fantastic. Looks like the general public will have to wait until later this year to actually buy it though.

The pricing page lists the paid version as a one time payment of $10 and not a subscription. Price seems fine to me if you end up getting any value out of it.

I've worked for US based companies in the past from Germany and that was the setup at the time because it was a legal and bureaucratic hassle to set up proper employment. That said, both times I received equity - that's, at least to my understanding, straightforward to set up.

Given that job security is almost non-existent in the US it never bothered me to not be an employee - I just always assumed that today could be my last day (well, in theory at least). You do miss out on the usual health benefits, 401k, etc. and will have to cover that yourself in your country.
